Mana Up and Hawaiian Airlines Debut Six New Exclusives to Shop at the Made in Hawaiʻi Festival

Written by House of Mana Up

Four new travel-ready product debuts, a returning festival favorite and an exclusive giveaway are coming to the Hawaiian Airlines booth at this year’s Made in Hawaii Festival.

Every August, the Made in Hawaii Festival brings together thousands of shoppers looking to discover and support some of the Islands’ most exciting makers. This year, Mana Up and Hawaiian Airlines are giving festivalgoers even more reason to stop by, with a lineup of limited-edition products making their debut at the festival — including several created with travel in mind.

The 32nd Annual Made in Hawaii Festival runs August 20–23 at the Hawaii Convention Center.

Here's what to look for.

Lexbreezy Hawaiʻi's Exclusive Travel Toiletry Bag

Alexis Akiona was still in her early twenties when she launched Lexbreezy Hawaiʻi at the Merrie Monarch Arts & Crafts Fair in Hilo — and sold out within minutes. Since then, the Native Hawaiian designer has grown Lexbreezy into a full aloha wear and lifestyle brand, with a team of women from across Oʻahu behind it. Building on her earlier toiletry and travel bag designs, Akiona is bringing an all-new, festival-exclusive travel toiletry bag to the Hawaiian Airlines booth.

Nick Kuchar's New Hawaiian Airlines Luggage Tag

Oʻahu-based artist Nick Kuchar has spent his career turning the islands into postcards — vintage-style surf and travel art with the kind of nostalgic color palette and typography that instantly reads "golden age of travel." Trained as an industrial designer, Kuchar built his visual style by sketching and photographing locations across Hawaiʻi and reworking them through acrylic washes and digital illustration. This year, that signature look comes to an exclusive Hawaiian Airlines-themed luggage tag, debuting at the festival for the first time.

Paper Crane Soaps' 3-Piece Self-Care Travel Set

Founded by Amanda Richards, a licensed esthetician with more than a decade of experience, Paper Crane Soaps makes bath and body products out of Kailua-Kona that are as thoughtful about sourcing as they are about scent. For the festival, the brand is debuting a three-piece travel set — Hawaiʻi-made self-care essentials sized for a carry-on, a gift bag, or just everyday life on the go.

Lahaʻole Designs' All-New Packing Cubes

Native Hawaiian designer Tanya Uyehara founded Lahaʻole Designs to connect people to Hawaiian culture through everyday objects — jewelry, clothing and accessories inspired by native flora and the stories tied to them. Her seven-set packing cubes were one of last year's runaway hits at the festival, selling out entirely. This year she's back with an entirely new design, making its festival debut.

Ambassadors With Aloha's Vintage Hawaiian Airlines Shirts Return

One of the most popular items from past festivals is back. Ambassadors With Aloha (AVVA), founded by professional surfer and entrepreneur Kekoa Cazimero, built its brand around surf culture and a modern take on aloha. Its vintage-inspired Hawaiian Airlines shirts — reviving old Hawaiian Airlines designs that celebrate the history of travel to the islands — return to the booth this year in limited quantities.

An Exclusive Giveaway from Lola Pilar Hawaiʻi

Oʻahu-raised photographer and designer Kristen Reyno, the artist behind Lola Pilar Hawaiʻi, turns her original photography of Hawaiʻi's flowers and landscapes into colorful, wearable art. For this year's festival, Reyno created an exclusive tote design available only through the Hawaiian Airlines booth activation — offered as a giveaway while supplies last on on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Customers must make a qualifying purchase. For additional information, come to the Hawaiian Airlines booth.
