MANA UP & HAWAIIAN AIRLINES CELEBRATE CARRIER’S 95TH ANNIVERSARY WITH EXCLUSIVE PRODUCT LAUNCHES AT THE HAWAIIAN AIRLINES PRESENTS THE 30TH ANNUAL MADE IN HAWAII FESTIVAL

Guess & Win: The public is invited to enter a series of social media contests to unveil the featured local makers and score the limited-edition products

Honolulu, HI - August 20, 2024 - Mana Up is proud to announce its presence at the highly anticipated Hawaiian Airlines presents the 30th Annual Made in Hawaii Festival from August 23-25, 2024, which saw nearly 49,000 attendees last year. This year, Mana Up will offer a curated selection of local products from entrepreneurs that are part of its small business accelerator program as Hawaiian Airlines supports local HawaiianMiles Buy & Fly partners at the festival.

In collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines® Bank of Hawaii World Elite Mastercard®, Mana Up will launch two exclusive products from a limited-edition co-branded collection celebrating Hawaiian Airlines’ 95th anniversary. Mana Up collaborated with nearly 20 local companies to design unique products featuring heritage graphics and patterns used by Hawaiian Airlines between the 1940s and 1970s. While select products will launch at the festival, additional items from the collaboration will debut later this year.

This collaboration builds upon a partnership between Hawaiian Airlines® Bank of Hawaii World Elite Mastercard® and Mana Up developed over the last five years. Recently, the two organizations presented the third season of its Meet the Makers series, which features Hawai‘i’s rising entrepreneurs and their personal stories through interactive and live-streamed episodes.

“Continuing our longstanding partnership with Hawaiian Airlines for this year’s festival is an incredible opportunity to highlight the talents of our local entrepreneurs,” said Meli James, Mana Up co-founder. “Over the last five years, we’ve been honored to have been able to join forces with Hawaiian Airlines at the festival – their support has been crucial to our entrepreneurs’ growth since Mana Up’s inception in 2017.”

Key Highlights:

  • Exclusive Product Launch: Attendees will be the first to discover two new products from the Mana Up limited-edition co-branded collection with Hawaiian Airlines, designed to celebrate the carrier’s 95th anniversary. Following the festival, additional products will be available exclusively at House of Mana Up retail locations and online at houseofmanaup.com.
  • Local Entrepreneurs: Mana Up’s booth will feature a diverse range of travel-themed products, best-selling local items and products carried in-flight on Hawaiian Airlines from companies not previously showcased there.
  • Cardmember Perks: All Hawaiian Airlines® Bank of Hawaii World Elite Mastercard® cardmembers will be able to purchase the co-branded products at a discounted price for a limited time only. Additionally, Hawaiian Airlines® Bank of Hawaii World Elite Mastercard® cardmembers can enter for a chance to win 500,000 HawaiianMiles. “Guess that Local Maker” Social Media Campaign:

Mana Up will engage its followers with a fun and interactive social media campaign. Followers are encouraged to guess the entrepreneurs participating in the collaboration with Hawaiian Airlines, creating a buzz and building anticipation for the product launches through December.

Leading up to the festival, Mana Up will open up the “Guess that Local Maker” social media campaign exclusively for Hawaiian Airlines® Bank of Hawaii World Elite Mastercard® cardmembers. Winners will be announced via social media and invited to redeem their prize at the festival. Thereafter, anyone is eligible to participate.
