Aloha de Mele

Owner and artist, JT Ojerio is a self-taught artist from O‘ahu who discovered her love for drawing by chance in 2017 after suffering from a hip injury in Chicago. During her long recovery process, she explored her creative side for the first time with her pup, Mele, by her side. She began drawing images that reminded her of Hawai‘i and the aloha spirit she missed.

Aloha de Mele is inspired by Hawai‘i’s beauty, land, culture, and people. Ranging from simple silhouettes to complex lei po‘o, each art piece was created to make a statement, exude good vibes, and the aloha spirit no matter the location.
