Kākou Collective is the studio of Native Hawaiian surface pattern designer and illustrator Kea Peters who is inspired by her homeland. Her mission is to share the love and knowledge of local culture in Hawaiʻi, to spark creativity, and to bring Hawaiʻiʻs backyard to the forefront.
Since 2017, Kea has been sharing her love of plants and hand lettering. She began hosting weekly drawing workshops, and later introduced a collection of stationery products featuring her original artwork such as notebooks, washi tape, and rulers. Kea hopes to create feelings of nostalgia and connection to Hawaiʻi with all she creates and does.
