Meli Wraps

Meli Wraps is a Hawai‘i company designing reusable beeswax wraps to reduce plastic, all while keeping your food fresh. Founders Nicole and Melia are childhood friends-turned-mothers-turned-business partners! They are excited to share Meli Wraps with you by offering a more sustainable and stylish way to preserve your food.

Besides avoiding single use plastics and helping the planet, you are also supporting a small business. All of the pair’s wraps are made by hand on Kaua‘i and in Bend, Oregon. The company uses GOTS-certified organic cotton, beeswax, tree resin and plant oils to create a natural wrap that can be used up to 150 washes or one to two years. The plant oils keep food fresh and the beeswax allows the cotton stick to most foods and dishes. Plus, the wraps can be cleaned with a simple wash of cold water and soap. The fun island-inspired company likes to keep the designs vibrant and seasonal and offers a variety of sizes in its wraps.

Meli Wraps strives to craft each wrap beautifully and effectively by using high-quality, locally sourced materials. A lot of aloha goes into their products. Rethink the way you preserve food and become a Meli Wrap lover!

The local brand designs products to replace single-use plastics, and therefore, protecting and preserving our oceans and ‘aina (land).

Additionally, the owners donate to schools and nonprofits including BEACH, Sustainable Coastlines and the Surfrider Foundation. In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, they began offering special discounts to healthcare workers.
