Beyond sustenance, bananas held cultural significance as offerings to aliʻi (ruling chiefs), valued gifts, and traditional medicine. In ancient Hawaiʻi, where fruit was limited, maiʻa was one of the few widely available sources of nourishment.

This 50% vegan milk chocolate bar blends cacao nibs and banana powder for a tropical, dairy-free treat, featuring artwork by Shar Tuiasoa of Punky Aloha Studio. Made with cacao nibs, banana powder, organic cane sugar, cocoa butter, and organic coconut milk powder, each 2.1 oz (60g) bar contains coconut, is dairy-free, and is best enjoyed stored and served between 65–70°F for optimal flavor.
