kenji lee swiss inn

Using a traditional recipe passed down by their family who immigrated from Switzerland, Swiss Inn hopes to share their tangy, creamy dressing with Hawaiʻi and the rest of the world. The local company started with Chef Martin Wyss who brought his mother's Swiss recipes with him when he immigrated to the islands.

After 18 years working at the Kahala Hilton Hotel, Chef Wyss retired as its Executive Chef, and in 1982, he, his wife Jeanie and sister-in-law Sharon Fujii, opened Swiss Inn Restaurant. Serving authentic Swiss cuisine with the aloha spirit, the eatery quickly became a jewel of the Honolulu dining scene. Following a successful 18-year run, the Swiss Inn closed its doors; however, the demand for the inn remained high. This resulted in the bottling of the original house dressing, Swiss Inn Dressing. In 2008, Chef Wyss and Jeanie passed the torch to nephews Taisei and Kenji Lee who now run the company, selling their family’s famous bottles of Savory Vinaigrette on the shelves of select supermarkets on O‘ahu as well as online.

The company is multi-cultural and multi-generational. It is a brand with roots decades-deep in Hawai‘i, and its owners are very enthusiastic about collaborating with others who share this similar identity!
