This Kalo print is incredibly special to Tag Aloha Co. AJ, Tag Aloha’s designer and co-owner, also moonlights as a camera/drone operator for movies and TV shows (seriously, he does everything). As you can imagine, he regularly finds himself with amazing people in special locations all around the islands.
One particular day, he was working in a Lo’i Kalo (taro patch) on the windward side of O’ahu. Feeling incredibly lucky and humbled by the experience of being able to connect to the ‘aina (land) in this way, AJ was inspired to sketch these kalo (taro) leaves.
Kalo continues to be one of Tag Aloha Co favorite prints, and we hope you love it as much as Tag Aloha Co does.
